CES 2012

Bringing the updates of a show of this magnitude is no small feat, but readers here in this article you can read the latest happening of the CES 2012 daily.

Let’s have a look what all we can get to see at CES 2012 this year:

Phones

It seems that this year Windows phone will be the crispiest toast of CES. Since, after Mobile World Congress in February 2010 Microsoft hasn’t given any bid appearance on the stage, but it seems that in the next week it is going to be in the glare of publicity and will steal the complete attention of the show on it. It has been rumored that at CES 2012, we will be going to see few Windows Phones: HTC Radiant, Samsung Mandel, and Nokia Ace. All these three Windows Phone will be targeted for the American market (though some or all will have different names by the time they’re announced). All three Windows Phone are going to allegedly support LTE — a first for Windows Phone, and a near-requirement for new smartphones on Verizon and AT&T. Though it is true, but very sad as well that now we will not get to see Microsoft anymore in the CES events now onwards. Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer Keynote at CES 2012 will be last keynote at CES.

Nokia Lumia 900 aka Ace

I believe out of three of them, Nokia Ace is going to grab the maximum attention at CES 2012. This marks as Nokia’s comprehensive attempt to comeback atop Windows Phone at CES, and this will surely going to serve effectively as the company’s coming-out party in the US.

Nokia Lumia 710 is in news and set for launch on T-Mobile in the next few days, but the much heavenlier is going to be the Nokia Lumia 800 hardware for which many are waiting frantically.

I know what is bothering you, that where is Android? Friends quiet sad but this time Android would be seen taking the back seat as they keeping their bullets to fire at Mobile World Congress next month. It is possibly expected that Samsung and HTC, in particular, are also poised for huge showings in Barcelona: Samsung is expected to announce its flagship Galaxy S III, while HTC is rumored to be showing a selection of next-generation devices with quad-core processors and LTE radios. As exceptions are always there, one being the Intel, which is planning to show off both phones and tablets running Android atop its ultra low-power Medfield platform.

UPDATE: Finally, the most awaited Windows Phone is here, at CES 2012. The Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop, on the CES 2012 stage officially unveiled Nokia Lumia 900. Stunned!! The device is so amazing and pleasing that any one can fell in love with the new Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 900.

UPDATE: It seems as if this year at CES 2012, there has been a hefty fall of Windows Phone 7 devices with major upgrades in them. One such top-notch smartphones manufacturer HTC unveiled their latest and the beast of all Windows Phone 7, HTC Titan 2, the successor of HTC Titan.

UPDATE: Sony unleashed Xperia S ladenwith Playstation and 12MP Camera at the CES 2012.

UPDATE: Motorola Mobility has decided to officially introduce Motorola RAZR Maxx at the CES 2012 platform

UPDATE: Lenovo not only brought its product range into tablets and ultrabooks section this year at CES 2012, but has introduced a new Intel Powered Smartphone named as Lenovo K800, which boards the Android latest version IceCream Sandwhich, v4.0 OS and the Lenovo’s LeOS.

UPDATE: Though the biggies were buzy showing their 2012 road maps at CES 2012, Samsung latest expected Windows Phone 7 Samsung Mandel appearance was found missing from the CES 2012 stage. I’m pretty sure, Samsung is planning to hit the Mobile World Congress with full throttle as there are updates that at MWC Samsung would be releasing its Samsunng new flagship as Samsung Galaxy 3.

UPDATE: Nokia Lumia 900 has been honorably presented an award for winning the best Smartphone award in best of CES 2012 awards.

Ultrabooks

Ahhh… I’m pretty sure, that this year CES 2012 will be a bazaar for Ultrabooks as there going to be number of ultrabooks show cases. Indeed, all the major and non-major computer manufacturers are expectedly planning to join Intel’s thin and light drive at the show; with more than 30 to 50 ultrabooks are expected to actively participate in the show for display. As no official updates from all the computer manufacturing companies are available, so no exact names can be taken as if now that who all will be bringing new systems to Vegas, but it looks like HP’s got a very thin Spectre ready for us and that Dell may finally jump into the pool.

Eventually, the maximum of these are expected to bring down the similar ones that we have already reviewed – the very thin, powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processors, and boot very quickly thanks to solid state drives.

Ultrabooks

However we’re also anteceding Intel to monopolize the ultrabook messaging with novel details of its Ivy Bridge processors, which are expected to arrive in April or May. These new chips will not only provide better performance, but the new graphics are hypothetical to squash any thoughts you’ve ever had about integrated graphics being inadequate.

Logically saying this, is absolutely correct that Intel will also be talking about those good old regular laptops, and like years past, we anticipate companies to flaunt a number of systems that won’t make it to market until the summer.

Last but not least, most of them would be found running Windows 7, but expectations are high like we are expecting that some big players to show off their Windows 8 laptops.

UPDATE: JT Wang, Chairman and CEO of Acer at its press conference at CES 2012 stage, made certain vital announcements regarding new opportunities for Acer Ultrabooks. He added “The ultrabook is a mainstream train that cannot be stopped”. According to the updates it is revealed that this year we are going to have four new models of Ultrabook. After Acer Aspire S3, this year they showcased Acer Aspire S5.

UPDATE: Further, Acer has plans to launch their more Ultrabooks once Windows 8 OS lands in the second half of the year. Likely, we are expected to see 14-inch and 15-inch Ultra models too this year.

UPDATE: HP has launched a new ultrabook at CES 2012, the extended version of Envy series named Envy 14 Spectre.

Seeing, the interest and outlandishness popularity of CES 2012, it seems that this year is going to get a heavy start for the gadgets next week onwards in Vegas – So, get ready!

Tablets

Tablet world seems to get a complete make-over, rather I should say tablets will take renaissance this year at CES, despite being the most dominating gadget at CES from past two years. But this time, I believe the reason talking about the tablets would be its quality rather than the quantity.

On the hardware front, you’ve got Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 ready to steal the limelight, while the software side will be obliged by likely appearances by Android 4.0 and Windows 8, a pair of operating systems designed with the tablet form factor in mind.

Acer Tablet

As incessantly the news are coming that Acer and Lenovo are going to reveal their plans for Windows 8 tablets at the CES, and they are also expected to reveal about their Intel new chip Clover Trail based Windows 8 Tablets. Next, ASUS recently in a presentation said that they will be also landing their Windows 8 ARM based tablets soon sometime in the year, we are expecting them as well.

UPDATE: The latest update from CES 2012 event has reported that the small scale manufacturing company Kupa, is also actively coming in the competition with the biggies by showcasing its “Windows 8 Ready” tablet. The Kupa X11 Windows 7 tablet is already available in the market and to make it a big note, they will showing Windows 8 running on the same Tablet at CES 2012.

UPDATE: Surprisingly, evry other manufacturer is giving their best shot at CES 2012 this year. Just now a recent update has been made live at CES 2012 that a hardware manufacturer Gigabyte has showcased their all new Windows 7 Tablet, named as S 1081. Read full review..
