In Windows 7 you can create your own password recovery disk very easily. Create a password reset disk and keep it in a safe place. If this disaster will happen to you, then just plug the password reset disk created by you and you are done. The password will be reset and after successful login create another password by going to your user account.
To create a password recovery disk follow these simple steps:
1. Plug a USB/Pen drive or a CD/DVD in your system.
2. Click on start, then click on user picture to open user accounts or open control panel and then select user accounts from there.
3. In the left options pane, you’ll find create a password reset disk option, click on it.
4. A wizard will open there and will guide you step by step for the rest of the creation process.
5. In wizard first the welcome screen will appear, then click next, in second step choose the disk on which you want to take the backup and then give your current password in the next step.
6. In 3 easy steps your password reset disk in now ready to save you from the silly mistake of forgetting system passwords.
7. A .pwb file is created on your disk, which is used in future for password resetting.
To use the disk just insert it when you boot your system and boot from the disk and follow the simple steps there to reset your password.

The screenshot in Step 4 clearly says that you only need to create this disk once, no matter how much you change your password. Your final Note says the opposite. Which is it??
