How to Search for Recorded Music Details in Windows Phone


It happens mostly, we hear a song after a long time and fails to recognize it all of sudden. And we start remembering about song details but fails. So, with Windows Phone you don’t have to stress your mind anymore!

You can search for the song details simultaneously while listening to songs on radio or any other music player. Windows Phone even allows you to search more about the song like title, artist, album, and ways to listen to or buy it.

To search for recorded music that’s playing in Windows Phone

  1. Press the search button of the phone.
  2. When the music is playing, hold your phone suitably from where you can hear the music clearly and then tap music.
  3. After scanning the song title, artist, album name, and album art will be displayed for songs that are recognized.

To find the song in Zune Marketplace

  1. Tap and open Marketplace in your Windows Phone.
  2. In Marketplace you can search for the song, you can also preview or even buy the song directly from marketplace.
  3. If you have a Zune Music Pass and the song is available in Zune Marketplace, then you can listen to the full song and other ones on the album and you can download songs as well.

To check previous Music search results

You can very easily realize the music that you’ve searched in the past by just going back.

  1. Press the Search button.
  2. Tap More -> Music history.
  3. Tap a song to find it on Marketplace, On the Music history screen.

This service works most of the time, in some cases due to the nuisance or disturbance; the song may not get recognized correctly by the system.
