Got a touch device? A touch based laptop, desktop or a tablet and using Windows 8 Developer Preview on it then you must have tried using the new touch keyboard of Windows 8. And yes I know, that you are going to say me that its super cool, it completes the word automatically, its the best touch based keyboard I have ever used.

It is good that you are biased with touch keyboards, as Windows 8’s touch keyboard is not just another touch keyboard. It really do things in much smarter way that anyone can expect. Here I am for telling you about some new features and capabilities introduced by Microsoft in Touch Keyboard of Windows 8.

Windows 8 has two touch keyboards for comfortable mobility and flexibility. An improved, full-sized touch keyboard with larger buttons and an unique thumb keyboard make it easy to use when you are holding your tablet from the sides on the go.

To switch between Full-sized keyboard and Thumb keyboard just tap the keyboard button available in the right bottom corner.

Whether you’re walking around, traveling in pubic transport or sitting down, it’s more comfortable and natural to type using your thumbs when the keyboard is split. And when you have your tablet pc in your lap, then full-sized keyboard with big keys is all ready to give you full easiness and comfortability.

The touch keyboard in Windows 8 includes several features to speed up your typing and make it more accurate. Improved keyboard technology is designed to minimize inaccurate key strokes while automatically correcting mistyped words without slowing you down.

To make typing more efficient, Windows suggests words on screen as you type, allowing you to choose the suggested word with a single tap. Isn’t it cool?

The keyboard adapts to different languages. On touch-based computers, the layout of the keyboard automatically adjusts to the language you choose for Windows. Your input and language settings automatically apply to the whole computer rather than to just specific programs.
